We also carry both light and heavy strap hinge options, depending on the size, weight, and resistance of the doors you’ll be putting up. For the heavier, weightier doors, you’ll obviously want to use a heavy strap hinge; for the lighter, looser doors, you’ll want to go with the light strap hinges. Make no mistake, though – our light strap hinges are durable, but only if used with sufficiently light doors. Differentiating between both light and heavy strap hinges allows us to cut costs. If we were to make one type of strap hinge – heavy – it could certainly stand up to all doors, but it would be significantly more expensive.
