Simply mount the bolt and brackets on the door in whatever position you want using a drill and screws. If you plan on securing the door to the ground, attach the brackets on the bottom and drill a hole in the ground for the bolt. If you plan on affixing the door to the ceiling, move the brackets to the top of the door, mark the spot on the ceiling and drill a deep enough hole there – about an inch or so. Do the same for the side of the door if you plan on attaching your bolt to an adjacent surface.
