Stainless Steel or Steel

Paddle handles are handles that have a flip-out handle feature for actuation, with actuation being the movement of the handle or latch that provides the latch or unlatch action. They are typically used in forestry, mining, ranger, agricultural, and construction industries in a locking or non-locking fashion. At Sierra Pacific Engineering and Products, our paddle handles come in three categories: junior, standard, or two-point standard. They are made of either stainless steel or plain steel, and they are locking or non-locking. For small applications, go with the junior. Larger doors require either the standard or the two-point standard. Stainless steel is recommended for outdoor use, as it won't stain or rust, but steel is just as solid. You'll want a locking mechanism on your paddle handles if you think you need it, but otherwise a non-locking handle should work fine.
